
I lower it to 18 if i remember correct in mode 23 on my Muscle with V&H slipons. the rpm reading should follow the engine rpm as it goes up and down. A warm engine will idle between 900-1200 rpm which should show up as a 9-12 in mode 22. If it does not do this, go to mode 19 and roll the throttle all the way open then roll it all the way shut by hand, do not let it shut by itself. The value at mode 21 should read 0 with your hand off the throttle and immediately start scrolling up (1,2,3…) as you twist the throttle open and should climb all the way to 99 at wide open throttle. Mode 21 shows you the current throttle position.

If you have done this and have gotten to 14 or your bike is stalling when coming to a stop, that is all you can do and you will not be able to lessen the popping without changing the pipes or installing quieter baffles. Try lowering this by one number and see if it helps you. I maintain bike pretty well and do most everthing on it my self. Mode 23 controls the rpm where the fuel is turned back on. So, visited Harley dealer, they had stock & released my wallet of £350. I was suffering engine running weak at low revs which was affecting around town journeys. Not all popping can be eliminated, but this feature does lessen it. Recently fitted the FP3 to my 2014 model fuel injected 48. Obviously the Fuelpak has to turn the fuel back on at some point or the engine would die. The Fuelpak has a function which shuts off the fuel when decelerating.
